The Borsalino hat became an icon thanks to cinema. During Hollywood’s golden age, everyone wore one. What is less well known is that this legend was born in a provincial Italian city, and that for more than 125 years a single family stood at the helm of the empire founded by Giuseppe Borsalino.
Evoking the atmosphere of classic film noir, the film tells the story of the extraordinary encounter between the dream of a self-made entrepreneur and the great dream factory of 20th-century cinema, tracing the history of one of the world’s most famous hats.
