In Chamois, a small village in the Aosta Valley accessible only on foot or by cable car, silence is not an absence but a presence\u2014one that shapes time, landscape, and the act of listening. The cable car, the village\u2019s only connection to the valley floor, becomes both a physical and symbolic thread linking this suspended place to the rest of the world.
Here, a group of musicians and performers are invited to engage with the Alpine environment through performances created without an audience and conceived in direct relationship with their surroundings. Wind, light, altitude, water, stone, and emptiness become part of the performances, transforming them into site-specific sonic manifestations. Nature is not merely a backdrop: it acts, alters the sound, and responds to the artists\u2019 presence.
The film opens with Antonio Rezza, who freely and irreverently questions the meaning and value of the spoken word. From there, Ensembio unfolds as a sensory journey in which music, words, and silence alternate without ever standing in opposition. Performances by Selene Framarin, Giorgio Li Calzi, Manuel Zigante, Roberto Cecchetto, Frankie hi-nrg mc with Aljazeera, Prank, Federico Marchesano, and Fabio Battistetti, aka Eniac, gradually form a shared score in which the landscape becomes an integral part of both the musical and cinematic gesture.
Ensembio is a cinematic experience about being together. In the Aosta Valley patois from which the film takes its title, \u201censembio\u201d means precisely that: together\u2014a space where people, music, words, and landscape meet, listen to one another, and transform each other. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
